Srinagar, Feb 24, KDC: As the University of Kashmir resumed the offline classes last week, the students of the law department on Wednesday complained that they are being denied hostel accommodation despite grabbing rent in advance by the hostel authorities in the University.
Scores of students told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that students enrolled for BA.LLB course in the University of Kashmir are not able to attend the offline classes as the hostel authorities have denied to provide them any hostel accommodation.
They said, the move of hostel authorities came after grabbing the rent for 5 years in advance from students.
“We are at the boarders since 2017 in the hostels and we have paid rent for five years in advance. We are not able to attend the classes properly because the hostel authorities deny the accommodation to boarders on different vague reasons. From the last seven days we are suffering both mentally as well as financially. No body listens to us, we are helpless,” the alleged.
Meanwhile, Publicity Secretary of JKAP, Advocate Tajamul has urged the administration to take strong action against the hostel authorities at Kashmir University. (KDC)
