Srinagar Jan 31, KDC: Continuing its efforts to reach out to the needy and destitute families, Srinagar Police in a humane gesture distributed COVID-19 Safety Kits among the needy and poor families after imparting awareness about the Covid Virus. Prevailing pandemic of COVID-19 has resulted into unprecedented hardships to people worldwide and in its endeavours Srinagar Police reached out to the destitute families by way of providing Survival Ration Kits, Life Saving Medicine.
Srinagar Police in a statement to news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) said “Distress calls attended and responded were 232, medicines provided to 66 patients in need, Transport provided to 72 patients to reach hospital and assistance to 95 families to take the patients to hospital.
Survival Kits: Distress calls received were 1732 and Survival Ration Kits were provided to 650 destitute families.
Srinagar Police has distributed safety kits in 04 Police Zones of Srinagar City and today on 30.01.2021, Under Civic Action Programme, Srinagar Police organized a function in which awareness about the COVID-19 virus was imparted to the gathering of beneficiaries and officers. Protection Kits were distributed among 93 BPL ( Below Poverty Line) families of the East Zone.
The function was presided over by SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS and on the occasion SSP Srinagar shared some helpful thoughts with the gathering to aware them about the precautions and preventions one must adhere to. SSP Srinagar emphasized upon some preventive measures in the times of pandemic, each one must follow.
“Hand Wash2. Cover Your Mouth & Nose with a Mask, Consult A Doctor If Sick, avoid Close Contact and maintain the prescribed distance, take proper precautions while using Public transport and don’t Panic in case you are affected by the Virus, get medical attention“.
The distributed Kit contained digital thermometer, Oxymeter, Masks, Sanitizers, Hand Gloves and Face Shields.
SP East Ms Sheema Nabi was convenor of the programme and the officers of East Zone SDPO Nehru Park, SDPO Kothibagh, SHO R.M.Bagh and SHO Masiuma attended the said function at Amar Singh Club Sonwar, Srinagar. (KDC)
