Sopore, 20 Jan, KDC: Continuing its war against drug menace, Sopore police on Wednesday claimed to have arrest a drug peddler from Tarzoo area and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement to news agency KDC police said “Police party headed by SHO PS Tarzoo Inspector Bilal Khanday while Naka checking at Kupwara Bye-pass apprehended one drug peddler namely Adil Ashraf Khan S/O Mohammad Ashraf Khan R/O Seer Jagir Sopore and recovered 70 tablets of SPASMOPROXYVON and 60 tablets of FORTASPAS Plus from his possession.”
Police said “In this connection case FIR No. 08/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been initiated.”
“Sopore Police assures its community members that we are committed to continue our unwavering efforts against social crimes and people are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti social elements in their vicinity, reads the statement. (KDC)
