Baramulla, Jan 13, KDC: Baramulla police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered a contraband drug from a person during naka search at Delina area of northern-Kashmir.
In a statement to news agency Kashmir Dot Com, police said that “Baramulla police on receiving specific information laid a Naka at Petrol Pump Khawaja Bagh during which a suspicious person was intercepted.
“Upon searching the person identified as Amjid Hussain, Son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Delina, six bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from his possession”, the statement said.
The Baramulla Police said “During the course of investigation on the disclosure of the accused person more 85 bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from him.”
A police official said that a case under FIR number 03/2020 under section 8/22 NDPS Act registered against the accused in police station Baramulla. (KDC)
