Srinagar, Dec 15: International forum for Justice and Human Rights Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has expressed serious concern over the deterioting health of Syeda Asiya Andrabi who has been jailed for last four years in a case .

Untoo said, “Asiya Andrabi is imprisoned in the Tihar Jail to cause her mental and physical truma. She has developed many serious ailments during this period as the authorities have denied her the basic health check ups and care she needed,” alleges Untoo in his statement.

He said “This serious lapse by Jail authorities have made things worse for her and have posed a serious threat to her life.”

“As per the information we have recieved she has developed breathing problem and is on ventillator. She being the asthmatic needed medical care during pandamic but the authorities have sinister designs towards her and other top separatist leaders and that is the reason they have been kept away from their near and dear ones,” alleges Untoo in his statement.

He said “The treatment given to all those booked under false charges is a matter of serious concern and all those championing human rights need to raise their voices against all these methods Govt has been applying.”

“IfJHR had already approached international human rights organisations in this regard and had even sent their medical records also but unfortunately they have not moved forward from their customery lip service .Their negligence is the main reason for all this human tragedy taking place in Kashmir and in indian jails. We are putting all this on record that if any untoward thing happens with Asiya , Fehmeeda Sofi, Nahida Nasreen, Saika Akhter,Shazieya Akhter, Almass Araa, Asiaya Bano,Nasreen Begun, Govt. will have to be held responsible for that and then dealt accordingly by United Nations human rights mission, reads his statement.
