Massive man hunt is on to nab the attackers: Police
Baramulla, 09 Dec, KDC: Suspected militants lobbed a grenade in Singpora Bazaar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday morning. Six civilians were injured in the attack, police said.
A police official told news agency KDC that militants hurled a grenade at security forces, but it missed the target and exploded on the road, injuring six civilians.
The injured civilians were rushed to nearby hospital in Pattan area where from doctors referred them to SMHS hospital Srinagar for further treatment.
The injured persons were identified as Ghulam Mohammad Parray son of Mohammad Ramzan Parray, Gulzar Ahmad Khan son Ghulam Mohiuddin, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Zubair Ahmad Dar son of Ashiq Dar—all residents of Singhpora, Tabasum daughter of Abdul Rehman Bhat, a resident of Doodipora Handwara and Farman Ali of UP.
Meanwhile, a top police official said that police have registered a case under various sections of law and security forces have launched a massive manhunt to nab the attackers. (KDC)
