A Defence official told news agency KDC that, “Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC in Qasba and Kirni sectors of Poonch district on Thursday afternoon by firing mortars & other weapons in which a civilian sustained injuries.”

Meanwhile, the injured person was shifted to nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.

He said that a befitting response is being given by the Indian Army to the ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

Meanwhile, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life in the area; however heavy shelling from both sides was going on, when this report was filed. (KDC)
